Overview
Windows includes built-in accessibility features that can help students and employees access, navigate, and interact with their computers in ways that meet their individual needs.
Available features include:
- Narrator – Reads text and other information displayed on the screen aloud.
- Magnifier – Enlarges content displayed on the screen.
- Closed Captions – Displays spoken audio as text when supported.
- Contrast Themes – Adjusts colours and contrast to make screen content easier to see.
- Text Size – Increases the size of text displayed in Windows.
- Voice Access – Allows users to control their computer using voice commands.
- Speech Recognition – Allows users to use their voice for supported Windows functions.
- Keyboard Accessibility Features – Provides options to make keyboard interaction easier.
- Color Filters – Adjusts colours displayed on the screen to improve visibility.

Windows accessibility features are available to students and employees using Fleming College Windows computers.
Getting Started
- Open Settings in Windows.
- Select Accessibility/Ease of Access.
- Browse the available accessibility options.
- Select the feature that meets your needs.
- Adjust the available settings according to your preferences.
