Service Overview

Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered assistant that uses information from the Internet to answer questions,and support your work to help boost productivity, spark creativity, and change the way you get things done. Microsoft Copilot uses advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 to understand natural language prompts. It can assist with:

  • Summarizing documents or articles
  • Drafting emails, reports, lessons, or assignments
  • Creating quizzes, lesson plans, or study materials
  • Brainstorming ideas or explaining complex concepts
  • Organizing information into tables, bullet lists, or outlines

Available To

Microsoft Copilot with Enterprise Data Protection is available to all Staff, Students and Faculty.

Fleming College does not provide or support Microsoft 365 Copilot Premium licenses (Integrated into M365 Applications)

Security and Privacy

Fleming uses Microsoft Copilot (Protected with Enterprise Data Protection) ,a safe and compliant alternative to consumer AI tools tools like ChatGPT or Google Gemini. This means when signed in with your Fleming email:

  • Prompts and responses are encrypted
  • Your data stays within Fleming’s Microsoft tenant
  • Data is not used to train Microsoft’s AI models
  • No one outside Fleming can access your Copilot session

Please note Microsoft Copilot is not approved for use with any PII (Personally Identifiable Information like SINs,addresses) or PHI (Protected Health Information) or Confidential College data

How to Access Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft CoPilot is accessible through:

Copilot Chat in Edge 

  • Check the top right of your browser window and confirm you are signed in with your Fleming account.
  • Use the Copilot logo at the top right of the screen or directly go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/
  • To confirm that you are logged in to your Fleming's Microsoft 365 account, look for the green “Shield” icon in the upper right corner
  • You can also download the desktop or mobile app by clicking on the three dots at the left corner near your name

Microsoft 365 Apps

If you are signed into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, or Teams with your Fleming email, you can access Copilot Chat in home tab directly without switching the apps.

Any another browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

  • Go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/
  • Click the Sign in button and select Sign in with work or school account.
  • You will be directed to Fleming's sign-in page and enter your username and password
