Overview
Enterprise applications are software tools (such as SaaS apps, internal systems, or integrations) that connect to your College account.
When accessing these applications, you may encounter issues related to permissions, consent, or approval requirements. This article explains the most common issues and how to resolve them.
Common Issue: “Approval Required” or “Need Admin Approval”
If you see a message stating “Need admin approval” or “Approval required” when trying to use or install an application,
it means the application is requesting permissions that you are not allowed to approve on your own. These may include access to all users’ calendars, Directory or organizational data, or System-level settings. You can request to have ITS review the enterprise application via the following service request form: Service - Enterprise Application Acce...

Issue: App keeps asking for permission repeatedly
A user can give the app permission to access their data only on their behalf, as long as the permission level is allowed.

If you are repeatedly prompted to grant permissions, it may be due to one of the following:
- Permissions changed: The app now needs additional access
- Admin approval required: The app needs organization-wide approval
- First-time access: Another user is trying to access the app for the first time
- Limited approval scope: Access was granted only for one user, not the entire organization
- Incremental consent: The app is requesting new permissions for additional features
- Consent revoked: Permissions were removed by a user or administrator
- Forced prompts: The app is configured to ask for consent at every login
If the issue continues, contact the ITS Service Desk using Service - Request IT Support.
Troubleshooting
Check Microsoft Service Status
Sometimes access issues are caused by Microsoft outages. You can check the health status here:

Review or Remove Application permissions
When you use work or school applications in the My Apps portal, you often are asked to grant permissions for an app, including permissions to save account information. To keep your data secure, you may want to review and revoke permissions or clear saved account credentials. Edit or revoke application permissions in the My Apps portal | Microsoft Support
Removing permissions or accounts may break some app functionality. If you have problems after you remove permissions or accounts, please contact IT Service desk using Service - Request IT Support.
