How to add SharePoint site to a team
The files you see on the Files tab in a team are stored in a SharePoint site. All standard channels in a team share the same SharePoint site, but each private channel has its own site. Whenever you add or update a file on the Files tab, you're accessing the SharePoint site.
If the Files Tab Is Missing in the General Channel
- Click on (+) icon and select Apps.

- Select SharePoint
- Select Document libraries to see existing SharePoint libraries available from your team site. You can also add Pages or Lists to see a list of existing SharePoint pages or lists available from your team site

- Select Post to the channel about this tab checkbox to automatically generate and post an announcement in the Teams channel letting your colleagues know that you've added this tab.
- Select Save
