Overview
OneDrive includes built-in recovery features that help you restore deleted files and folders, as well as recover previous versions of files. Deleted items are retained in the Recycle Bin for up to 30 days, and file version history allows you to restore earlier versions when needed.
This article explains how to restore deleted files and folders and how to restore a previous version of a file in OneDrive.
Restore Deleted Files and Folder in OneDrive
In OneDrive, deleted files and folders are moved to the Recycle bin. Files you delete from OneDrive are stored in the Recycle bin for 30 days before they are permanently deleted.
- Go to Onedrive and sign in with your Fleming account
- In the navigation pane, select Recycle bin.
- Select the files or folders you want to restore by pointing to each item and selecting the circle check box, and then select Restore.

Restore a Previous Version of a File in OneDrive
Your OneDrive folder maintains a 30-day version history of all files. This means you can view and/or restore an older version of an individual file from any point in the past 30 days.
- Go to Onedrive and sign in with your Fleming account
- Select the file that you want to restore to an earlier version (you can only restore one file at a time), right-click, then select Version history.

- In the Version History pane, select the ellipses (...) next to the version of the document that you want to restore, and then click Restore.
