Service Overview

IT governance consists of the structure, leadership practices, and processes that maintain and support the organization's IT strategy and objectives.

Purpose

IT governance aims to ensure the effective and efficient use of IT enabling Fleming to achieve its goals by actively engaging with all stakeholders. Specifically, IT governance objectives must align with enterprise goals and enable the prioritized allocation of IT resources. This will be accomplished by developing, implementing, and managing Fleming College’s IT strategic plan through engaging and partnering with College stakeholders.  

An IT governance framework will ensure that IT continually modernizes and leverages opportunities while managing disruptive technologies with an agile and responsive approach. The IT governance committees will coordinate efforts to achieve the College’s IT goals per Fleming’s Strategic and Academic Plans.

  • IT Architecture Committee - chaired by the VP, IT & Digital Strategy
  • Academic Technology Working Group - chaired the Executive VP, Student Experience
  • Research Technology Working Group - chaired by the Executive VP, Applied Research
