Service Overview
ArcGIS Online is a collaborative web GIS that allows you to use, create, and share maps, layers and data. Using ArcGIS Online you can also access free data from the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World data library, use ArcGIS apps to share that data, publish and create your own data. Basic spatial and image analysis is also possible using ArcGIS Online. You will also have access to various apps to obtain and navigate using your phone like Survey 123 and Field Maps. ArcGIS Online is perfect to learn GIS basics, collaborate with multiple people, do field work and is best to learn before trying to use the more feature-packed ArcGIS Pro.

FAQ
Where are my files in ArcGIS Online?
ArcGIS Online is Software as a Service and keeps all files and data online, similar to how iCloud or Google Drive stores your files. The files and data are not stored on the local computer and can be accessed after you log in from any web browser. You can find a list of your items (the name for “files” in ArcGIS Online) in the Content window.
How do I back up my data from ArcGIS Online?
See https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-back-up-content-in-arcgis-online-000011795
Can I move my Fleming ArcGIS Online items to another ArcGIS Online organization?
There is an advanced method to do this but it requires technical training. It is recommended you download the data using the backup my data method above, upload that to the target organization and then recreate maps, apps etc. using that uploaded data.
