Overview
This is a guide on how you can scan original pages or documents and send a digital copy to your email or OneDrive. This is only possible on a multifunction printer. The Frost and Sutherland LRC have printers you can copy with. A physical OneCard is not required but it can make the process more efficient.
Please Note: Scanning to email or OneDrive is a FREE service. A Fleming account is required but no funds are needed.
Scanning Instructions
1. You first need to log into the printer with your MyCampus credentials. There are 2 methods to log in:
- You can tap your Fleming OneCard
- Log into the printer manually using your MyCampus credentials
Please see this article for more details logging in: Article - How to Log into the Printer?
2. Once logged in, the menu screen below will show up. Select “Scan”.

3. Select one of the desired Scan Actions: Email or OneDrive

4. You will then be brought to this screen. Before going further, we will setup our document to be scanned.

5. Place your document, image side up (first page) in the document feeder to prep for the scan. Ensure that the gray document flaps are snug to your document. See the image below as an example.
NOTE: For single pages or paper that cannot be fed using the duplex automatic document feeder, use the document glass (Image 2). Lift the duplex automatic document feeder, then place the original document face down in the upper-left corner of the document glass.

6. Edit the following items on the Scan Details page, as applicable:
- Depending on whether you selected the email or OneDrive, you have the option to edit the "Email Subject" or the "Filename".
- Click "Change Settings" for options such as Duplex Mode, DPI, Color mode, etc.
- The "Prompt for more pages" check box is selected by default. This will prompt you after each scan to add more pages or finish the scan action. If you are scanning only one page, un-check this option
7. Click “Start” to begin the scan. Your document will be scanned.

8. Once scanned, you will be brought to this page. If you have additional pages, set them up and press “Scan Next Page”. If you are done, please press “Finish”

9. After your job is completed, please ensure you log out by clicking on the ”Log out” button in the top right.

Troubleshooting
Properly Setup your Document to be Scanned with the Document Feeder: Place your document(s) face up on the tray. Next Please Move the gray document flaps so they are snug to your document. Finally ensure your document is snug to the feeder (on the left). If all is good you will see a green light. If the light is not green, you are not ready to scan.

Having Issues logging into the printer? Please try reading this article: Article - How to Log into the Printer?
Only one side of my page was copied? If you are looking for copying on both sides, please select 2-->2 for 2-Sided copying. Also note that the glass scanner does not copy both sides. You will need to manually flip the page to get the other side. Otherwise please use the document feeder.
My Scan did not come to my email? It can take up to 10 minutes for your scan to be delivered by email.
