Service Overview

The College provides some staff with Apple or Android smartphones with carrier-provided LTE data plans.

Available To

Staff: 

  • College Administrators
  • Other staff based on their job role & requirements, (e.g. travel frequency, etc.). Also requires manager support/justification and CIO approval.

Getting Started

Use the [ Create Ticket ] button to:

  • Request a new phone. 
  • Request a phone upgrade. 
  • Report issues with any phones that have been deployed

Mobile Phone User Responsibilities

  • Do not use your device while driving
  • Your device must be password-protected
  • If you believe your device has been lost or stolen, please contact the IT Service Desk as soon as possible.
  • You are responsible for backing up the device and maintaining the data on it
  • Replacing the SIM card for any reason is strictly prohibited

Apps & Additional Fees:

  • Install the Fleming Safe App
  • You are responsible for the cost of any third-party applications or services installed or used on your device
  • You are responsible for any personal long-distance calls, roaming fees, or short-code texting fees.

Travel:

  • You are responsible for any phone charges while travelling internationally unless the travel is college-related and a travel plan has been purchased and applied to your account.
  • You are responsible for advising ITS of any pending travel out of the country that requires a roaming plan by submitting the ITS Mobile Roaming Plan Request.

Device Return:

  • Upon termination of employment with Fleming College, or during a device hardware upgrade, you must return all components you received with the device to avoid departmental charges, to your manager or ITS AND ensure that the device has been wiped.
  • Do not turn on Find My iPhone. If it is automatically on, please turn it off when returning the phone to ITS.

Support & Troubleshooting

  • If you aren’t receiving any calls, SMS messages or data services, try powering you phone off then on.
