Service Overview

Users of Fleming's VPN service first install and then use the Palo Alto Global Protect VPN client software to remotely connect to the college's network.

How To Connect

Once VPN access is granted, the Palo Alto Global Protect VPN client software can be downloaded from here:

Download the GlobalProtect VPN Client

Install the GlobalProtect VPN Client

  • When the download completes, run the GlobalProtect.msi file (or GlobalProtect.pkg for Mac)
  • In the ‘Welcome to the GlobalProtect Setup Wizard’ click next
  • Install to the default directory, C:\Program Files\Palo Alto Networks\GlobalProtect\, click next
  • In the ‘Confirm Installation’ window, click next
  • In the ‘Installation Completed’ window, click close

Configure the Global Protect Client

  1. GlobalProtect should automatically run and will look like the picture below:
    1. If the client doesn’t automatically click on the ‘^’ icon on the task bar and click on the grey globe icon
  2. In the picture shown in step 2a, in the field below ‘Please enter your portal address’ enter gp.flemingc.on.ca and press ‘Connect’
  3. A Sign In window will appear – enter your Fleming username/password
  4. You won’t see anything happen if your sign in is successful, but you can verify by clicking on the ‘^’ icon on the task bar and noting the grey check-mark on the globe icon
