Ways to manage Voicemail from different locations
From your Cisco Desk Phone:
- If you share your phone with other extensions, press your line button to get dial tone
- press the messages (envelope) button on 79XX, or (tape) button on 88XX
- the system will ask for your pin followed by pound (#)
From Another Cisco Phone within the College:
- press the messages (envelope) button
- the system will say “Enter your pin…” PRESS *
- the system will now say “Enter your ID followed by pound (#)” Your id is your extension number
- the system will now say “Enter your pin…” You are now entering your own voicemail box. Enter your pin (5 digit password)
From Outside the College:
- Dial one of the main external numbers (Sutherland – 705-749-5530, Frost – 705-324-9144, Haliburton – 705-457-1680)
- When you hear the auto-attendant greeting, press the * button
- You will hear “Enter your ID, followed by pound (#)”. Your ID is your extension number
- You will hear “Enter your PIN, followed by pound (#)”. Your PIN is your voicemail password.
- After successfully entering your credentials you will be placed into the voicemail main menu.
Voicemail to Email
All new phone accounts have this feature turned on by default.
This service requires you know your 5-digit voicemail password. If you don’t know what that is, please include in the body of your message that you would like your voicemail password reset. Your password will be reset to new unique 5-digit voicemail password

3 – deletes the message
4 – to slow it down
6 – to speed it up
7 – to repeat the message at any time
9 – listen to message properties
* – ends the current message

How does VM2Email work?
- If you receive a voicemail, it will automatically be directed to your email. If you delete it, from your email, it goes into your voicemail deleted folder, if deleting it was an accident, within 5 days, you can recover the voicemail by accessing your deleted voice messages using your desktop phone
